We endeavor, at all times, to thoroughly represent our clients, while remaining aware of economical considerations. To remain competitive with other law firms in our local area, we are generally aware of the fees charged by our competition and their fee structure.

We try to customize our billing arrangements to the needs of each of our clients. In many cases, we are able to offer a "flat" rate. That is, we provide our client with a fixed quote for the cost of the entire engagement before we begin. In these cases, we usually require a portion of the total fee to be paid up front with the balance being due upon completion of the project or at some later date.

In other engagements, our fee is simply a product of time we expend performing services and the cost for filing and recording fees. Our billing rates range from $55 - $95 per hour for our paralegals, and from $150 - $250 per hour for attorneys. We always endeavor to estimate the cost of the engagement from the beginning and will provide updated estimates along the way if necessary. In all cases, we regularly provide our clients with written detail of the nature of the services rendered, including the date and the time expended.

In some cases, we handle a matter on a contingency basis. That means we only get paid if we recover or save money for our clients. The percent of the recovery we receive depends on the nature of the engagement and facts of each case. In the appropriate situation, we sometimes handle a case on a "hybrid" basis, in which case we are paid a lower hourly rate for services performed, plus a lower-than-usual percent of the recovery, if any.
